Crispus Attucks -- "Today was a Good Day"

I know how LooGAR feels about the FunnyOrDie comedy movement, & I am not a follower of it (not that I don't find it funny, it's just not an area I frequent), but when I was scanning the IMDB profile for the upcoming movie "Snitch", & followed it to one for a Wire actor common to each title, I saw "Crispus Attucks -- Today was a Good Day", & knew to Google it. Figured what it might be, but blown away all the same. Definitely comes from a place similar to "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter", but with a better soundtrack.

Plus, Clint Howard cameo. Never a bad thing.

Harvard Square and the place where it meets the Charles River are strangely infested with tribes of these kids. One of the bridges that crosses the Charles used to have a little "encampment" under one end of the bridge, and then one day The Man came and cut down the damned trees and underbrush, just swept it naked clean. Crazy. I don't know if that's WHY they took it all down, but it did work. They moved.

you can smells those kids coming half a mile away. i'm sure you get used to the stench if you're around it all the time, but i can't imagine letting yourself get so rancid.

seems like an exciting life, though, if you don't spiral into a rape-y, hepatitis-y, heroin haze. maybe for a limited time.

i remember a jug band at SXSW composed of train hoppers. there was some papa bear punk rock dude on tub bass, coupla skinny guys on homemade guitars and a girl with half her face tattooed and a wooden leg on the washboard.

I didn't realize this was even a subculture, maybe some of those kids I saw and assumed were just your run of the mill homeless back when I lived in Asheville were really train punks, or whatever. Any lifestyle that involves eating possum is just something I can't get behind.
