KC linebacker kills girlfriend, self following argument over Trey Songz concert

For emphasis: he shot himself in front of head coach Romeo Crennel. Which is not the most horrifying aspect of the events -- though for Crennel, it cannot be unseen -- but just the cherry on the shitshow.

Like a Klan meeting, I'm sure.

Less racism and more just straight fucked up...jokes about fantasy implications and the like. Also, he did it because he and his chick just found out they was HIV-POS. It was like a stock ticker blasting off over the line observations.

I like Russell Wilson a lot but I've got to bet against a 5'10 rookie in a (my opinion) shaky offense. No offense, Doc, Seattle is about a 7-9 IMHO.

They're gonna' have to go winless vs. Arizona, @ Buffalo (in Toronto), vs. SF and vs. St Louis for this to happen. I like their chances of 10-6. Hell, if they can run the table (not out of the question) and SF loses @ NE in two weeks, Seattle wins the NFC West.

Wilson has been pretty impressive and getting better every week over the past 6 weeks. He took apart a vaunted Bears D yesterday with 97 and 80 yard drives for TD's in the 4th quarter and in OT. Surprisingly, the offense has been carrying them of late. The D has looked shaky recently and the impending suspension of the 2 starting cornerbacks could derail this entire thing, but I'm cautiously optimistic. And regardless of how this season ends, Russell Wilson looks like a keeper and a 3rd round steal.

I officially got over the Packer -Hawks game a few weeks ago and was rooting pretty hard for the Seahawks yesterday. Those last two drives were awesome. I wouldn't want the Packers to face them in the playoffs.

we'll blame the anomaly that was the loss @ Miami last week squarely on the fact that i have Marshawn Lynch on my fantasy football team.

Yeah, Lynch was terrible in Miami.

The loss is more directly related to the 2 TD drives and game winning FG the Seattle defense allowed in the final 8 min of the 4th quarter after having shut them down for 3.5 quarters.

To be fair, PLAYCALLING was terrible in Miami - the Dolphins have two great Defensive Tackles and a fairly pedestrian secondary and we decided that we wanted to pound the ball inside during important times of the game instead of throwing the ball more - For god's sake, Wilson completed 16 passes in a row at one point and time that game and our last 3 play-calls were horrid.

Also, the horrible Roughing the Passer on Earl Thomas where he left his feet to try and block the pass and then came down on top of Tannehill really cost us the game because it negated the interception.....sure Leon Washington returned the next kickoff for a TD, but the defense was already gassed....they then had to come right back out there.....it almost would have been better if Leon hadn't made that return.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, DangerRuss has been simply NAILS this year - and over the course of the last few games he is showing those who are claiming that his good ratings are a result of a great defense and running game that he can perform well even when those aspects of the game aren't working for the Seahawks.

I'll agree that Bevell should've been more aggressive, especially in the 4th quarter when Seattle could've put the game away. First and 10 at the Dolphin 40 and they can't gain 5-7 yards to give Hauschka a shot to win the game?

That being said, you have to admit that the defense was the real reason they lost that game. They gave up 17 points in the 4th quarter!

Oh defense was clearly the culprit - Marcus Trufant was getting torched all over the place again, and an injured Leroy Hill shouldn't have even been in the game to give up some of those long plays. I'm just saying that the PF on Thomas really cost them huge...and I was trying to point out that while it was nice to get the equalizer from Leon Washington that it might have worked out better if he hadn't.

Don't even get me started on the sprinklers coming on in that game - We hadn't been playing the greatest game overall anyways, but tell me that the momentum didn't noticeably swing after that for some bizarre reason. Damn you Buffalo Wild Wings!!

Agreed, he has been impressive. Mea culpa. How crazy is it to have THREE rookie QB's potentially leading their teams to the playoffs?

Yeah. Almost any other year, Wilson would be a front runner for OROY. He's 3rd at best this season.

I'm not taking anything away from Luck and RG3 (who I personally think is probably the current front-runner), but lets imagine that the Seahawks weren't located in South Alaska and instead were in a major market like Boston or New York.....I think he'd be ranked higher. Luck has been great, but he's thrown so many interceptions.

Luck has nearly 200 more attempts than either RG3 or Wilson--they're letting him sling it (plus Seattle and DC have much better rushing attacks, especially DC)

Not trying to beat a dead horse here because I acknowledge that Luck has been really slinging it, but Mike Sando @ ESPN just posted a comparison of Luck and Wilson vs their 7 common opponents:
http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcwest/post/_/ ... -opponents

Wilson has thrown for about 800 less yards on 137 less attempts but has thrown 16 TD's and 1 interception while Luck has thrown 13 TDs and 12 interceptions.

Just thought it was interesting and that I should post the comparison here given that we are discussing the comparison already.

(Edited) - Posted wrong article.

I'll almost grant you one interception - but it isn't the one that you think it will be - I'll almost grant you the roughing call earlier in the 4th quarter - but we had an even more egregious roughing the passer call go against us in the Miami game that cost us a turnover (and I'd argue the game) as well so at least they are calling it consistently.

As for the "#failmary" - I still maintain that call goes the same way with the normal referees - heck, the review was done by an actual NFL official upstairs and called good. I'm not alone in this thinking either, although admittedly this opinion isn't common outside of Seattle, here's what Scott Kacsmar wrote about it shortly thereafter.

The entire Arizona team should have to forfeit their paychecks this week.

What a professional embarrassment.

Although I can think of a few guys on the Falcons that should have to do the same tomorrow.

The crazy thing is that Arizona team forced 6 turnovers on your Falcons team and still found a way to lose that game.....I almost don't know which would be more disappointing if I was a Cardinals fan.....

Obviously, as a Hawks fan who was in attendance today, I was loving it :)

Same here. Hoping they lose @ Cleveland this week.

I wasn't happy about the Bengals shitting the bad as well (sorry bob), but I'm less worried about the Cowboys catching Seattle since the 'Hawks hold that tie breaker with them.
