Pretty boring list if you ask me.

Probably the list most compatible to mine. At this point, I really don't mind boring.

Yep. He hasn't written a good song since Get Behind me Satan.

Now, that's just ridiculous.

That being said, the best thing on that Jack White album is probably the Blasters cover.

give me some examples then.

1. Icky Thump
2. You Don't Know What Love Is
3. 300 MPH Torrential Outpour Blues
4. Steady As She Goes
5. Intimate Secretary
6-16 Everything on Consoler of the Lonely except "Attention" and "Rich Kid Blues"
17. Two Against One
18. Love Interruption
19. Missing Pieces
20. Freedom At 21

3. Shovels and Rope: O’ Be Joyful

A number of coed duos of recent vintage—from She & Him to the Civil Wars—have drawn at least part of their appeal from their coy dynamics and combined attractiveness. But this year, the husband-and-wife duo Shovels & Rope came out of left field with an entirely different breed of male-female interaction. Instead of the graceful choreography of trading off between lead and supporting vocal roles, on O’ Be Joyful Cary Ann Hearst and Michael Trent tend to attack their robustly tuneful melodies and harmonies with equal and simultaneous force, coming off more as comrades than typical paramours. They’re no courtly couple—they’re visceral garage rockers who genuinely work up a sweat, and who didn’t feel it necessary to dress up their stomping, primitive grooves or no-frills production. Besides being a fresh approach, theirs also happens to be a phenomenally accessible one.

I didn't realize Michael Trent was part of the Films. They were a band that came really close to being awesome.

Two of my top 10 were listed in popmatters 10 most disappointing albums of the year.

They're desperately seeking attention with some of these. Namely Beach House.

Actually, I take that back. I'm not really familiar with the Popmatters, but apparently the writers exist in some kind of terrifying alternate reality nearly opposite to our own.

Case in point:

hahaha wtf

But I VEHEMENTLY DISAGREE with them having Ben Folds Five on that list. It's easily Top 15 for me (maybe even Top 10).

"Swimming Pools (Drank)" is good, but the rest of the Kendrick Lamar album is kinda boring to me.

Still it's a better pick than Frank Ocean.

Only ones I've heard from the Decibel list is High on Fire (yay metal) and Swans (mindfuck much?).

I've mentioned this a few times on the board, while I know it's a brilliant album, it's so intense that it's very challenging to get through a full listen.
