shit, I consistently forget about that Calexico album. I actually liked it. Oh well, I guess they didn't get the "discostu bump" by being featured on my list.

First Aid Kit was mega meh, but FJM, Japandroids and Divine Fits were qual.

Both in my top 4. Probably our only overlap though this year.

I need to hear both Murry and Father John Faily before making my list. I guess I should hear Kathleen Edwards, too, even though I haven't really liked anything since Failer.

At first I thought I loved that First Aid Kit, but re visited a week or so ago, and wondered what I was thinking.

This was a LONG FUCKING YEAR for me personally - I keep forgetting that JTE was this year not last year. Same with Chuck Prophet.

Rod, did you not hear that Nude Beach?

I had the exact opposite experience. I liked it initially due to the the first couple of songs, in particular "EmmyLou" and "Lions Roar" but thought the rest was filler. I came back to it late summer and discovered the rest. Just something about those harmonies that only sisters can make.

I'd like to see that bill. Calexico makes a Nashville stop soon. I've never seen them live.

Thank you for being the final fifteenth reminder that made me check out that new Kathleen Edwards. So far so good.

Yeah, it's really good. Pretty underrated album.

Calexico are terrific live. the dream bill though is the two stops they are making with Yo La Tengo...ATL and Louisville i think.

I have not been able to get into FJM for the life of me. Saw them live a few times this year, and that didn't help either.
