Fucking Pete Carrol, definition of douchebag. He did his "hee hee call timeout" bullshit and caused his team to lose. I love it.

My sentiments exactly.
I have no strong feelings about Seattle as a team, but Pete Carroll is that sort of dick stroking, country club, fuck head that I love to watch burn.
Seeing his trademarked bullshit blow up in his face was the best part of that game.

But Atlanta better get their shit together before next weekend. You couldn't have scripted an averted second half loss any better.

lol - Whatver guys, we love Carroll up here, he made some poor decisions in the 1st half, but he helped to put together this roster, so we'll happilly keep him here - And GOD FORBID that a coach actually shows some emotion on the sidelines - you guys have your circle jerk of hate over the guy - we'll continue to get better under him.

The rest of the country thinks he's a cunt.
Seattle's microcosm full of sports failures gargling Carroll's cum.

I like Pete Carroll and think he's a hell of a coach.

Also, that was a great fucking football game.

You are a reasonable man. It was a great game, but what do you like about Carroll?

If you start from the baseline that all (or most) football coaches are phonies from the jump, I think his biggest strength has always been getting guys to believe in his system using a sort of laid back "im with you" approach. Its a little like a football Phil Jackson.

Also, takes chances, designs pretty smart and innovative defenses.

I will add that he completely fucking sat on his dick at the end of the first half today. That was terrible.

Eh, I think that's far too much of a generalization.

Yep - He likes to refer to those as "Hormonal Moments" - Can't believe we blocked that play so poorly that led to the sack.....then it looked like we got that play off and scored and yet the refs just blew it dead - Thankfully after halftime they came out and showed that the actual clock had hit zero before the snap and that the Hawks were not set when the ball was snapped.

Funny aside/parallel Chris, do you realize that last year's game between the Hawks and the Falcons also was 30-28 with time running out the Seahawks having a chance to hit a 65 yard field goal at the end to win it. Carrol took the chance and kicked it then and missed Haushka missed badly. They had the opportunity today to kick it again, but with it being Longwell's first game as a Seahawk I don't think they wanted to risk it - They went for a Hail Mary instead this time. Same result though to both games.

2012 Texans: The Decline.

...now starting to look like the team at the beginning of the season.

Fingers crossed for not another Patriots' bid at the Super Bowl.

You're right. The qualifier (or most) was unnecessary. They are all phonies.

That was the game the game where the Falcs got up early and then Tarvaris Jackson went nuts and they came back?

Great season guys. Seahawks are getting closer to their first Superbowl. Should be fun to watch next year.

You're assuming everything stays the same or improves. If Bradley and/or Bevell leave, it'll make it much more interesting.

Thanks for your graciousness.

I regret getting so worked up over a game. Best wishes to you and your family.

While agreeing to the premise, I'd suggest that there is a continuum of egomaniacal sleaze-ball-ness, and Carroll is at optimal placement on the sleaze axis. I can remember a puff-piece of cheatey petey visiting Nickleson Gardens projects in LA at midnight to show what a well meaning white guy he was... total buffoonery. I would have loved to see Harbaugh beat him again... "what's the deal" indeed.

On a side note, this Pats/Texans game is really boring.

Please. You may think Carroll is a sleaze, but Harbaugh's no saint, either. Both are good coaches, but coming from a 49er/Jim Harbaugh fan, this is a joke.

Oh I never said Harbaugh was anything other than an asshole, just he is direct and honest about it. Petey is a sleazeball, over the fact that he is also an asshole. One quality potentiates the other. Now, go Niners. It'd be so healthy for the country for the bay area weirdos to win both the World Series and the Super Bowl.

Can I exhale yet? Christ. I feel like I fucking gave birth.

Can't even talk smack. Lucky as hell to get out of that one with the win. Unreal. Would've been the most epic collapse in ATL pro sports history (of which there have been MANY) and a soul crushing continuation of the misery that is being a fan of Atlanta teams.

Niners are great but goddamnit they don't deserve it. WE ARE A GOOD PEOPLE! WE NEED THIS! Only Cleveland really knows our pain.

FYI, early line is 3.5 in favor of the Niners.

Also, just saw that Gronkowski is done for the rest of the playoffs.

OK. I'll accept that. But you've got to admit that Harbaugh is a blowhard and bully and thus in his own passive/aggressive way is also a bit of sleazeball, over the fact that he is also an asshole. Both proving to be damn fine NFL coaches, though!

And because of Harbag, I just can't pull for the Niners. Go Falcons!

Also, had we not come back, the name Zach Miller would've gone alongside names like Jim Leyritz, Eric Gregg, and Eugene Robinson that make Atlanta fans wince every time they hear their name. We had no answer for him. It's like we didn't even try to cover him.

I'm pulling for you now Derris.

I must say that us Seattle sports fans have been kicked in the nuts a lot over the past few years, too. We lost our 40 year old NBA team, our baseball team has been in free fall for a decade, our college football and basketball teams have been mediocre to poor at best over the past several years and our NFL team is only now coming back to life. Plus, it's overcast and raining 300 days/year in Seattle. WE NEEDED THIS TOO!.

Go Falcs.
