Yeah. A few around here love to slam Pete Carroll, but Jim Harbaugh really is a classless jackass.

I feel your pain ATL fans--great season. If you bring in a running back and shore up that D a bit you'll be right back here next season. I hope Matt Ryan's clavicle isn't broken.

What.a.ride.

It took 13 years, but we're back! Great night with friends. Smoked a hog. Had a ton of raw oysters. Had some venison. Some chicken. Drank some Boh. And now I'm hoarse from cheering so much. Beyond excited. Bring on the HarBowl. And, after no one picking up to beat Denver or the Pats we're still -4 underdogs vs. the 49ers.

1) Jim Harbaugh is total asshole and doesn't pretend to be anything else. 2) Pete Carroll is a total asshole and in addition is a sleazeball who pretends to be otherwise.

Falcon's are a good team, and got enough good breaks (Niners fumble and goal line, missed FG, etc.) to make up for the bad breaks (questionable penalty call). Kap won this game with his arm. I think Niners beat Ravens by 10-12 points. I think Falcons are a better team than Ravens.

Why I hate him but respect him just the same [see Belichick]. Gore is a hometown hero from Gables High so its nice to see him get there.

I was pretty sure NE was going to lose just not by as much. They have been half a team with great execution all season.

Here's that kick from Brady. Bush league.

He is without question a total douchebag and a pretty major dick...BUT, there is no amount of money I wouldn't give to have him coach my team.

The reason Carroll bothers me so much more than Harbaugh is because Harbaugh is totally upfront with his assholishness, while Carroll has a super phony facade of sunshine, lollipops and rainbows. Own it, man!

To me, this game is the classic example of a "pick 'em." I can't approve of any line greater than 1.5 in either direction.

He's lucky his leg didn't end up getting Theismanned on that.

Would've been justice. Like someone on ESPN said this morning, what if Suh had done something like that? He would have been destroyed by the media.

Oh, I own it. PC certainly comes across as smarmy. I'm not sure what he did at SC that has you all hating him so much, though. Other than win and dominate your favorite college teams for a decade. Hell, he dominated my team for that same decade.

I don't think he's even in the same galaxy as Harbaugh when it comes to douchebaggery. I doubt the PC haters and the Harbaugh haters will ever agree on this so I'm done arguing it.

I do agree that JH is a hell of a coach.

For a relatable comparison, Pete Carroll is the Dr. Oz of the coaching world -- a greasy, slimy fucking asshole selling bullshit to rubes under the guise of a respectable, honest all-around nice guy.

Anyway, I thought the Acid Gandfather a Raiders fan, so a 49ers title run should be the last thing he wants.

Guess becoming a frontrunner is one of those things it's ok to do when you hit the seventh decade, a benign variation on crossing the street when one approaches a brown teen, or supporting supplyside economics.

(Not that Harry is a geriatric Teabagger. Just drawing a parallel to other behavior of the OLDS that they would frown upon in youth.)

As to the HarBowl, it's exactly what Goodell needed, 'cause now the first post-BountyGate Super Bowl, played in New Orleans, will see Goodell's caprice in that moment rate about story 1007 in the two weeks run-up to the game. Hell, IU basketball coach & official brother in law of HarBowl Tom Crean will merit more ink in SI & coverage on ESPN than the Sean Peyton slap down.

& I say -- FUCK. THAT.

Oh, & Ravens 31, 49ers 17. Flacco is the new Eli Manning.

I was angrier at Brady for the later slide when he could've run for a first down.

A little off norm, I liked the Niners and Raiders, even early on. As a kid of course I wanted Roman Gabriel and the Rams to win, but I liked John Brodie too... and of course the incredible 80's, the Niners were so exciting to watch. So I am not a geriatric whatever... actually I cross the street TOWARD the young brown ... well, you get it.

That was such a great comeback yesterday... David Akers rescued from suicide watch.

YES. I actually just thought this myself yesterday. Average-to-mediocre regular season QB who every postseason turns into an unstoppable monster.

Which just makes rooting for Romo that much more agonizing.

I mean, Eli has two. Flacco will get his first. Even Bledsoe at least got to the big game. (Twice, if you think of it, since his save in the AFC Championship put NE in Super Bowl XXXVI; now, imagine Romo in a situation like that.)

I still like Romo. He's extremely talented, and is a more dynamic playmaker than any of the QBs you mentioned. That being said, his decision-making goes haywire at the most inopportune times, which is why just about everyone would rather have the QBs you mentioned.
