Sounds a bit like Tom Zé, at least until the acoustic guitar comes in. And it's definitely not him singing.
But, absolutely influenced by TZ.
That was great.

So, who the hell is that?

Shugo Tokumaru. Just some Japanese, dude, I don't know. To it sounded like Cornelius, but I guess I can hear Tom Ze in there, too.

His album In Focus? just came out this month and is really good.

tokumaru's exit album from a few years ago is terrific. i think the new one's ok. but that video's really cool, and one of the best songs on the album.

Oh man, I'd forgotten about that Youtube channel.

The "More Mitt" one is excellent.

These are both great! Thanks for posting.

Really enjoying what I've heard by this guy. Don't know how I missed him up until now.

Guys, you won't believe it -- Ron Jeremy & I have something in common.

... I mean, dude drove himself to Cedars-Sinai after experiencing severe chest pains, & once admitted, medical staff found an aneurysm near his heart.

So, I generally hate this show. Avoid it, for the most part. But, sick in bed last night, the auditions were on and, out of a morbid curiosity (the only real reason to watch anyway), I kept it on for a bit.
And, holy shit, this guy came on and gave me goosebumps. Literally. (And, by "Literally" I mean Literally.)

have added a load of pre Milton Keynes postcards to my blog tonight,
these ones cover the old market town of Stony Stratford on the A5 Watling Street.
Home to The Cock & Bull Hotels (of the infamous story) and John Wesleys' Tree
in the Market Square (til it burned down after being struck by lightning.)
It was also where scenes from Withnail & I were filmed and I lived there for
many years and so have a bit of a soft spot for it, it's by far the nicest part of MK.
