Now that the mix forum is dead, I suppose this goes here. I'm long, long out of the loop as far as what everyone's listening to, and this is evident by how outdated most of the "new" songs on here are. I still can't figure out how to make this available for download (without getting a bunch of DMCA notices), but it can be streamed here.

"Sundor Tum Goa" - Amit Kumar
"Soul Shake" - Peggy Scott & Jo Jo Benson
"Give Me Your Love" - A.C. Jones & the Atomic Aces
"I'm doomed?"
"Je Bent Niet Hip" - The Pattie Sisters with Enteng Tanamal & his Comets
"Viva, Femme Africaine" - Danialou Sagbohan
"Funky Bijou Anthem" - Funky Bijou
"What do you think about, Sean?"
"Harlan County" - Jim Ford
"Don't Believe Nothing" - Ike & Tina Turner
"There's this huge man..."
"The Feeling Kind" - Thao & the Get Down Stay Down
"Dope on Plastic" - Uptown
"I think it's in Canada..."
"Panzer" - The Dirty Nil
"Shrinking Violet" - Swearin'
"They tell me cake is bad for me..."
"Birthdays" - The Mouthbreathers
"Light Up Gold II" - Parquet Courts
"Have You Seen My Son?" - Benjamin Booker
"Sad but true..."
"Black Egg" - Snake & Jet's Amazing Bullit Band
"Open Letter to the President" - Roy-C
"My story amused him all the same..."

The level of personal pride, fulfillment and satisfaction I get performing my cyber civic duty as a Obner moderator can't even be described.

In fact it can't even be detected.

Babies, divorces, marriages, fewer discussions, fewer arguments, better beer.

Belatedly digging the social hour, C. That Thao & track is better than the stuff I'd heard off the last album... will pick up.

Look at that!

another one is coming soon. After today my life goes back to normal, so I'll have time to put it all together.

It's waaaay harder to make a whole mi for download than it was a year ago. Not a fan of that...

Also, Shelley, the new Thao album might by my favorite of hers yet. I got a lot of shit for not liking the one she did with Mirah, but I think this one just sounds warmer (and less tune-yardsey)

An apt description of my lukewarm feeling about the last one. Digging this new one now.

yeah, I didn't know how else I could do it, really. Every site I tried to upload it too identified it as copyrighted material.

The new one is a little bumpy, but the two songs with horns on them are incredible and she manages to contain Joanna Newsome's warble just enough for me to actually enjoy it...
