Someone just played a song from this over at Turntable.fm and I am loving it.

Rads... you know something about it, right?
Anyone else? Opinions? Thoughts?

Listened to the record. Read about the band. Then deleted it.
Just another generic-sounding surf-punk band that's already been beaten to death over the past five years.
A couple catchy riffs, but no staying power assuredly.

i saw them last year and wasn't very impressed. they were very raw, and not in a good way. they came across as trying too hard to be grimey punk. but i was apparently in the minority because most of the crowd was eating it up.

Fuck It Dog, Life's A Risk.

I compared the album to "Sorry Ma, Forgot to Take Out The Trash," in that it sounds like a band with a huge amount of both attitude and potential, but it's all mostly projection and suggestion right now. They might put out a "Let It Be" eventually, though - and I'll definitely be watching for it.

Well shit, that's about the nicest thing one can say about a young band.

comparing this drivel to the Replacements is just fucking ridiculous.
the ONLY reason anyone has heard of this ploppy record is because of a promotion that permeates everything
with the debatable fact that the KEYBOARDIST is the son of some turd from TSOL.

I've never met anyone who actually likes TSOL, but here it is mentioned like it's relevant within the first two paragraphs of every FIDLAR interview:

http://blogs.ocweekly.com/heardmentality/2012/03/tsols_greg_kuehn_talks_about_h.php
http://www.spin.com/articles/fidlar-bre ... -interview
http://blogs.ocweekly.com/heardmentality/2012/03/how_tsol_bred_la_it_band_fidla.php
http://www.imposemagazine.com/bytes/this-is-fidlar

"Oh hey, even if you don't like my music that's been played too many times over the course of 68 bands, but this time it's in a super-compressed format.
Even if you've never heard of us,,, my dad was in TSOL.
You might like it!

Translation: I don't like it; but it still kinda sounds like stuff I might like if it sounded different.

Don't think that needed a translation, as that's pretty much exactly what I said. It's also exactly why I compared it to "Sorry Ma." This shouldn't be a difficult concept to grasp.

Since it wouldn't have any direct references to the Rolling Stones, Georgia or consumables, probably not.

Jerkass seems to have Radcliffe confused with LooGARBloorDerris

It's a comment aimed at the general lameness of the board, not at me. Maybe should've included sports for accuracy's sake.

saw Fidlar this week for the first time. It's basically teen punk. I liked Wavves better.

He has better songs and his set was just as rowdy.
