So, I just checked this guy out last week based on a recommendation in a Jason Molina interview. I listened to a couple of tunes on Grooveshark which led me to grab a copy of Hi-Fi Snock Uptown. I really dig a handful of tunes on this album, although I also find some of it to be a kind of goofy. I keep going back to "Blue Driver", "Water Train", "The Sun is Slowly Sinking", "I'm Worried",for example. But songs like "Old Black Crow" and "The Twilight Zone"" I found amusing the first time, but kind of tiresome on repeated listens.

I've seen a few folks post on here about him from time to time. I take it all his albums are a mixed bag like this?

I haven't heard that album. Long Journey is really good throughout. Try that one or Snockgrass

Have you heard Have Moicy with Michael Hurley, The Unholy Modal Rounders, and Jeffrey Frederick and the Clamtones? Excellent album.
