Surprised Game 1 of Pacers/Hawks is actually on TNT. I figured it would only be available via short wave radio or shaky web cam on YouTube.

It probably should've been. I'm hoping for a 4 game sweep so Phase II of the "Ferry Plan" can begin.

This weekend was more like Meh-Offs. Blech.

Agreed x2.

Enjoyed the San Antonio game, but it's not like it was competitive.

so glad to see vintage manu yesterday

going in to this year's playoffs, i have a lower confidence level than ever regarding the spurs' chances...BUT, if yesterday's manu is the one we'll be seeing throughout the postseason, that raises my hopes considerably

i just want it to be 2007 again, is that too much to ask???

FT, somewhere in South Boston is a guy named Richie O'Leary sitting a bar right now, wearing a Larry Bird jersey, nursing an MGD and saying "Gah-nett is gonna get it done".

LOL, yeah.

I was GOING OFF on Twitter (my secondary sports-only account) all the way up until OT. Shades of the old "Tony Parker sucks!" days. It was UGLY. I was exchanging FB messages with huge Warriors fan and Obner's own Mark Caputo throughout the game, conceding victory throughout, while he was always wary of a possible GS collapse by game's end.

As elated as I felt when Ginobili hit that shot, I really did feel awful for M-Cap.

I was trying to decide in the shower this morning if the Timberwolves drafting Johnny Flynn over Steph Curry was worse than the Hawks drafting Marvin Williams over Chris Paul.

Tough to say given that Curry is still balling while Paul is home figuring out how maintain alpha status over Blake Griffin next season. EDIT: Right now, I would say Paul is more valuable, but I anticipate Curry having a better career.

Michael Jordan's xenophobia leading to Kwame Brown over Pau Gasol trumps everything. Even Sam Bowie over Jordan himself.

Seriously, MJ is a motherfucker, a retrograde Confederate douche in blackface. I can only imagine the number of f-bombs he'd drop on Jason Collins....

And of the remaining playoff teams, by far, the most fun for a non-partisan fan to watch. Curry and Klay are unconscious shooters.

Gotta think these are the salad days for Bay Area sports fans, given the current/recent successes of the Warriors, Sharks, Giants, A's and 49ers. (Never mind the Raiders, of course.)
