very apropos

watched their Live from the Hollywood Bowl on TV a few weeks back. However you feel about Morrison, et al, their live show and his star power/charisma was pretty undeniable.

Manzerek certainly carried the torch for better or worse for the last 35+ years

The Doors were far and away my favorite band growing up, I think I was around five the first time I heard 'Light My Fire' and I was hooked. Ray always came off as a pompous a-hole but he was a hell of a musician.
