And for what it's worth...

Bamboo Kids - Safe City Blues

This is by far my fave album of the year so far. It's the Bamboo Kids' own London Calling. 21 track double album (comes with 9 bonus tracks when you buy the digital download for $7.50), chockful of everything these guys can think of, which is punk rock, Stones licks, pianos, horns, hooks and gutter wisdom. A band with all the right influences wearing those influences on their collective sleeve, playing their hearts out, all while being fully aware of the futility of taking a stance like this in 2013. It's just fuckin' heroic.

Sweet! Between the two of us the band probably just doubled their financial expectations.

It's done. I won't get to listen to it until Wednesday, but I have high hopes. And, if they are as deserving as you say, hopefully they will earn at least enough to keep it going.
Your description makes them sound like they carry the mantle that was being carried by The Exploding Hearts.
Here's hoping...

Nazareth: Hair of the Dog

Yeah, that's right. Shitty beer and Nazareth tonight. We'll worry about tomorrow tomorrow.

Glenn Branca: The Ascension

I just got a good deal on an original copy of this on vinyl. Any of you Sonic Youth fans need to give this a listen if you've not yet. Early New York Noise from 1981 featuring Lee Ranaldo and others. Branca's second and many would say his finest album. Melodic guitar noise featuring a quartet of guitars with bass and drums. Really great stuff.

Panabrite: Xenon District

Spacey synth shit. If you've heard any Panabrite stuff before this is a bit different. There are some beats that drift in and out of this one, more propulsive than usual. A refreshing update to the basic sound. Click the pic to go listen at Bandcamp.

Convinced a record store owner to give me 10 dollars for that on vinyl. The subsequent malt liquor did the job.
