http://www.continentalclub.com/Austin.html has early shows often no cover.

Most of the rock clubs your out of luck but Waterloo records does a lot of five pm in stores.

there's a court in the cherrywood neighborhood just south of the manor/dean keeton split, east of 35. I think it's off of comal.

There's also a bucket (like literally a bucket nailed to a telephone pole) near the library at san bernard and rosewood, and there's also the millenium youth complex further east down rosewood on the other side of the tracks.

Are you still in this town? Did you move here?

not there yet and not moving there, but will be there long enough to need music for the kid and hoops for me.
