Ha, earlier this week I was listening to Velocity of Sound, the last great Apples In Stereo record.

Also add Blur's Parklife to the list, since it was my record fair dollar-bin find, and Hunchback's Ugly On The Outside, which is a great Halloween-time record.

Haven't heard that Apples record. Probably should.

How is that Upset record? I snagged it from exy but have yet to listen. I'm hoping it follows the pattern I've experienced so far of liking Vivian Girls side-projects/offshoots more than the VGs themselves.

First listen. Sounds like pretty standard pop punk with cute female vocals. A single song on a mix might pop, but as a whole it's not doing much for me.

I assume it was recorded on the eve of the Warm Jets tour, just before Eno blew his lung out. The Winkies half glam/half pub rock approach to Eno's avant garde tendencies is a surprisingly cool mix. Wish they could've put out an album together. As it stands, this 4 song ("Baby's On Fire", "Paw Paw Negro Blowtorch", "Totalled" (aka "I'll Come Running"), and a cover of "Fever") Peel session is all there is.

For more info, download, + a Winkies/Eno live boot check this blog: http://doomandgloomfromthetomb.tumblr.com/post/7385910412/a-year-with-a-collapsed-lung-brian-eno-the

Causa Sui! Awesome. Are you liking it? I don't think it is quite as impressive as the summer & pewt'r sessions but still damn solid.

Lazy - Obsession
Banque Allemande - Willst du Chinese sein musst du die ekligen Sachen essen
Brainbombs - Disposal of a Dead Body
True Sons of Thunder - Stop and Smell Your Face
