I've somewhat resigned myself to the fact that I've not been keeping my finger on the 2013 pulse. I have no regrets.

Anyway, after scouring and stealing all the tracks and ideas from all our old 80s mixes/lists/discussions I made two 80-song volumes of 80s songs. They can be seen in this thread for reference: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=53901&p=938050&hilit=berrys#p938050

I wanted to make a 3rd. so i was like "fuck it, i'll just take the best tracks from Left of the Dial, Children of Nuggets, and Scared To Get Happy box sets and be done with it." So I started on that project, but it felt kinda boring, cheaty (even more so than using all of obner's ideas) and ultimately unnecessary (e.g. there are at least 3 or 4 other great songs on that first CVB album other than "Take The Skinheads Bowling," so why not use one of those?)

So anyway, I've decided to kinda mix and bend the rules, and use bands that are on the Left of the Dial box set, but not the "hit" songs. Any suggestions are welcome, I'll update as I make progress.

I will probably use that Aztec Camera song, because I really like it. Also I used the "Jump" cover on a different mix a while ago.

Side note: Other than a few choice tracks, I haven't really gotten into Let It Be. I'll probably end up using something from Sorry Ma or Hootenanny.

Yes, definitely very much pop/rock/college radio/alternative here. A little bit of synth-heavy new wave but not too much. more traditional punk/hardcore and hip-hop get their own mixes so don't appear here (too much).
