That's kind of difficult for me to process. Factor in the 4-5 years most of us spent before that on the old CMJ BB, and you're now talking about a decade-and-a-half! Crazy, man...

Were there really that many people on the old CMJ BB for 4-5 years? I think I was on there for 2-3 years at most (maybe less) and didn't think that there were that many people who had been around longer than me that are still here. Still a long time either way.

I started on CMJ in October 2001, exactly three years before the advent of Obner, and there were a good number of folks who had already been at CMJ for quite some time before my arrival. Perhaps not an additional 1-2 years prior - I'm not 100% sure when the CMJ BB first went live. Maybe I didn't get there too terribly long after that, but I always thought for some reason it had already been around for a year or two.

I remember signing up on 9/11...maybe because the CNN website kept getting bogged down and I needed something to take my mind off things until our office tower was closed and we were told to go home.

I feel like so much more happened on that board for the 3 years we were there than the 10 years we have been here...
