I personally think Dan Romano is the real deal when it comes to modern "real" country music. But, I don’t see why the f&*k he has to sit there in that getup with a F&%^king flask in his hand and seriously take part in a 3-minute-plus conversation about something as ridiculous as putting the term "mosey" on his music. Come on, really?
Point is, the music is real, and great. In my opinion, I think he cheapens what he does by dressing it up in those costumes and trying so hard to put forth an image that may be largely an homage, but to me comes off as overkill. I get where you come from the second I put the needle on the record, man. I don't need to be hit over the head with pageantry.
As far as the interview goes, either this whole thing is scripted, or Dan spends a lot of his spare time considering how he would answer questions exactly like these. Or, how he would like you to think a persona / artist like Dan Ramano would answer.
