i don't understand why you would work so hard to be successful in such a marginalized music market

i guess it makes acquiring a basic fanbase super easy, but still

The most reasonable explanation is that the band sacrifices true success/widespread appeal for having a relatively secure job playing music regardless of whether they're truly interested in it. Another good example is the bands full of 40+ year old dudes playing shitty pop-punk from 20 years ago on the Warped Tour. Sacrifice some integrity playing rehashed juvenile uninspired shit for a couple months so you can pay your bills for the rest of the year. It's just a job.

I remember having this exact conversation a lot back in the day: "If we were a Christian band, we could be in a band forever and always make money at it."

Its definitely a business decision that a lot of people make I guess.

those guys on guitar need to keep their chins parallel to the floor and lift with their legs not their back

that's a good way to get hurt

Went and saw How To Train Your Dragon 2 today. Movie was pretty good, Jonsi from Sigur Ros did a song or two for the soundtrack, which I really liked.

Head Gardner's LPs: First, how do you find the time to listen to them all? Or do you? Second, Inez Foxx = FUH.

indeed I do, these are actually just a pick of the things I pick up too,
I work from home as well so have music on nearly all the time here in my cave :rawk:
the Inez Foxx LP is for my next record fair - I do sell stuff too, I cull on a regular basis or it'd be chaos in here!

I wondered if you ever worried about an indoor avalanche.

fucking shit, I keep waiting for the facade to drop but... it doesn't. You know the dad did this to those poor kids. They will never, ever recover from this.
