Phil and I are finally sharing a bill… next week.
I could not be more stoked for a gig right now.

EDIT: Not Phil Lynott, Phil Ajjarapu.

This was good.

The Eric Andre Show is my favorite right now though.

Really cool mini-doc streaming right now on Greg Saunier (drummer for Deerhoof) and Brian Chippendale (drummer for Lightning Bolt), both of whose bands are now 20 years old this year.

http://pitchfork.com/tv/15-docs/1287-checking-in-at-20/

A bunch of other musicians are interviewed - Wayne Coyne & Steven Drozed (Flaming Lips), Tim Harrington (Les Savy Fav), John Dwyer (Thee Oh Sees, etc) - and it's really entertaining and fun. Interesting insight into two musicians and bands that may seem superficially similar - and are in a broader sense, I suppose - but couldn't be more different in their actual personalities and approach to creating music. Greg is like this hyper-genius who seems almost alien whereas Brian seems like the most relatable dude.

Yeah that was pretty good though I'm not sure how into their split I'd be. Only so much drumming solos I can take.

I won a big pile of old music, theatre and film programmes at the auction yesterday
and along with the ones for Des O'Connor, Holiday On Ice, Cannon & Ball etc, were
several of these for the once very popular Black & White Minstrel Show

Those minstrel albums: It's hard to believe that sort of thing even happened, let alone were popular entertainment.
