Just add "Poor Poor Pitiful Me" from his self-titled, and you've got yourself a tenner.

The title track on Excitable Boy is probably my favorite Zevon song, but it also has "Werewolves of London" and "Lawyers, Guns and Money".

I guess some of his later albums are supposed to be good, but I've never heard them.

This is a really good album but I think the self titled debut is even better, maybe even a lot better. I like everything through Sentimental Hygiene. After that, some of the albums are a little spotty. Any tenner for him though that didn't force diversity would probably pull at least 70% of the songs from the first two. Just start there.

I just recently became aware that 3/4ths of REM were the backing band for most of Sentimental Hygiene.

Always knew that. Just never knew there was a quid pro quo deal going on.

I've even got th Hindu Love Gods record somewhere.

The best of album Genius is tremendous and includes a little bit of everything up through Life'll Kill Ya
