Since Obner is so sad now, I'm assuming I'm not missing it 12 days into the month.

A friend at work relayed this one to me - his boy is 4.

Scene: Buddy / wife / son at a party at someone else's house.

Kid: "Hey dad - can you make me a Goldfish sandwich?"
Dad: ".....actually yeah that sounds delicious. Let's go."
-puts goldfish between two pieces of bread, hands it to kid, just as Mom walks up-
Mom: "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! I told him no more goldfish, and to go ask you to make him a sandwich!"
Dad: "...well played, little man. You win this round."

Wife's website got a writeup in the Times Travel section, and they used one of my photos for it. As an aspiring ... photographer I guess (feels weird to type that), it's a little crazy to open the paper on Sunday and see one of your shots.

...and then I noticed they didn't credit me on the photo. I waited a few days, then worked up the nerve to write the author and ask if they could fix it online. She was really mad that they screwed it up in the first place - she submitted it with me credited. They fixed it online. It seemed important, somehow, to have that little tag there.

Meanwhile the local "hey would you like to help us out" photo gigs are picking up. Beer festivals, a film opening, product shots for a friend's company, and now a local lady I like who's running for city council wants some environmental portraits for her press. At some point, I'm going to feel comfortable enough to ask for money. I'm not there yet, but I'm aiming for it.

I was jogging next to her, trying to frame and expose correctly. I really wish, now, that I'd framed one much lower in that instant, to get her looking at her own reflection.

Kyle, you're good enough to get money, "professional" or not. Ask for the money.

So bizarre to see this on obner. I live in a village just down from Moulton. Classy not chavvy.

he is, he's just getting on a bit - any interaction with humans is a plus in his book!
am seriously considering not taking him out next time as he did bother the vicar.

I've been looking for this old SNL sketch online for a very long time. It was something that stuck with me, obviously. And yeah, it holds up. At least as kitschy nostalgia.
And now this song is going to be stuck in my head for weeks!
