For those not familiar with this band, you should pick up this record. Swervedriver were stellar.

nice review and sentiments.

there are very few bands that i've gone all out on trying to find rare b-sides and unreleased stuff, but SWD is one of those bands...i hope this set turns some new folks onto them.

i can't stop listening to this one.

as i said before, i stopped paying attention after mezcal head (not sure why), so a lot of these songs i'm hearing for the first time, and they are flat-out awesome.

It's ashame that SWD didn't have more success. They were such a great talent.

I'm pissed that I missed Swervedriver when they swung by my college (U of IL) one summer shortly before they broke up. Apparently they played a great set for about 25 people.

A really, really great band that slipped through the cracks. In my top 5 artists ever. I've yet to pick up Juggernaut Rides, but it's on my to buy list. Their music combines pretty much everything I like about rock and guitars and just turns it up a notch.

As most people who read this board (and the former CMJ) board, Swervedriver is my default answer when the inevitable "Road-trip music" thread is opened.

That's because it's the correct response, Stu.

Until I heard "Son Of Mustang Ford" I was so uninterested in guitar rock. Definately a revolutionary moment in my musical taste. Raise is still one of my faves.

That's how it was when I saw them way back when. The show was amazing I think I was deaf for a week afterwards.
