I'm more on the side that "Let Go" is boring. I really tried to like it but there was something that bothered me about every song. I may still have it lying around somewhere but I may have sold it. I read a lot of really good reviews and bought based on those reviews but was disappointed overall.

Did you know that girls don't seem to want sex in the same quantity that guys do.

I'm ready and waiting for "the move." haha Even when she gets back, we'll be living at my parents until we find and close on a new home. So I figure it'll be about 4 months between experiences. By then she'll be too pregnant to want it.

of course they do. always have.
unfortunately by society standards they're usually deemed a slut by doing so.

Not to mention, Mark is of the rock star variety. He's probably got women hitting on him like crazy.

I was once Tim...for six years.
She (my-ex) currently resides in one of my houses and rents out the other. sigh.
That said, what goes on in her head is god's own private mystery.

Suffice to say, I'm currently engaged and the happiest fellow on this flat earth.

I must revisit. I didn't catch the reference or know that it was a real one.

Listening to "Let Go" through the magic of the internets (big ups Cory); seems pretty harmless so far; more later.

Thanks for the critcisms and advices folks.

Let Go

Pitchforkmedia shredded Let Go, which further solidified my belief that they are full of shit.

Maybe the reviewer didn't like it???

Not every website has an agenda. Pitchfork can be absolutely deplorable at times, but even they know that reviews are just opinions and not hard facts.

I don't think they have an agenda, I just think they have needlessly shredded a lot of good records is all. Maybe full of shit is too harsh but fuck...

I liked Let Go a lot when I bought it, but I haven't thought about listening to it for some time now.

I used to like Let Go, only now I kind of think it's just like Coldplay only about 50 times as whiney.

I sort of think "Popular" is the best thing they've done.

Just read that Nada Surf has a new one coming in September. Let Go is one of my favorites, despite what those dirty bastards at Pitchfork have to say...

I would if I could but I'm afraid I don't know nada!

Sometimes the obvious joke is the funniest. Not this time though...

guys, "Inside of Love" is damn near a perfect song, and Let Go is easily a top ten album of '02 (I think that's when it came out)

To me, Nada Surf has not disappointed yet and I expect this September release to be in my top 10 this year. I feel like it's been awhile since I caught them live, so I'm anxious for a live show.

I think the songs on Let Go sound like "Missing You" by John Waite. They live here most of the year and I have seen them live a few times. I don't like them or dislike them, just really a more forgettable version of Death cab for Cutie.
