Well, with all due respect to strippers, Dave, there's a reason you won't find a lot of smart ones. The historical tendency of men to objectify women has created a social environment where subjecting themselves to this kind of debasement is a more attractive option for many women than going to the trouble of getting an education only to find that they can't get a decent job or make nearly as much as men at the jobs they do get. This is less true today than it has been in the past, especially where equal opportunity employment is taken seriously, but that hardly applies to all (or even most) of the country, and until there's actual equality, you can bet that this kind of employment isn't a real "choice" in the sense that it would justify thinking your presence in a strip club wasn't to some degree contributing the the problem.
So now I am a party to gender inequality? Cool, I've been called worse. Hell, most people around here probably think I'm a racist and a whore monger as well, so that's fine.
I wasn't saying that I look for smart strippers, but smart women, and can tell the difference between the "all women as sex objects" vs. "sometimes seeing women as sex objects" as usual when arguing ESPECIALLY around here, I tend to see everything and everybody as having a compromised morality, and most others seem to feel that things come in absolute, neat compartmentalized boxes, when in fact they do not.
I know it's a cliche, but one of my boy's wife is putting herself through med school shakin dat ass, and more power to her. Where else could she make enough the money she does working one night a week. If she is doing it by taking advantage of whore mongers and dicky waivers, all the better, n'est-ce pas?
