Things I thought I hated, but really I just assumed I didn't like:

Mushrooms
Tomatos
Green peppers
olives
spinach
potato salad
artichokes

I could go on and on, I was a really picky eater as a kid,

Kim chee. Got to be eaten with a meal, tho. You can't just grab it out of the fridge and snack.

Umm, yeah you can. The best thing about a gallon jar of kim chee in the fridge is thst thst it can last over a year without going bad, and you can eat it anytime.

dude, you can eat kim chi by itself? i'm part korean and even i can't eat kim chi by itself. best with rice and other korean food obviously. but not by itself. yucky.

i used to hate all green vegetables, but now i love them.

i had a thing against cheese for awhile but now i can do with pepper jack or swiss.

There's lotsa food I USED to love, but no longer eat or don't like. For example: liver, milk, green peas.

I eat fewer foods now than I did when I was a kid. I have the diet of a 12-year-old whose parents aren't home.

I've never eaten a salad in my life.

Yeah, what's it gonna do, go bad? The original recipe for Kim Chee is to put it in paper or foil or something and then bury it in the earth for a month...pretty much so that it develops that "funk".

Nas. Tee.

You are a braver man than I.

Dusty -- you put in a jar. Its like Ragu in Italy, all ther regions have their own varietals. When I was a kid, I only really liked the water kimchee (cold kimchee soup) or garlic based, but now I could eat a whole pot right now. There'a a Korean restaurant in my dad's town that knows that we only like the real nasty shit, that only the Koreans eat, and will serve us up.

I have lived all over and the only food that I have not enjoyed is Ethiopian, which is basically baby food served on a lazy susan with "bread" the taste and texture of a warm gym towel. YECCCCH.

Busty, for true cottage cheese goodness: Two spoonfuls, sliced tomato, salt and pepper. Nothing beats it.

B-A-N-A-N-A-S are about the only food I refuse to eat. There are some I don't particularly prefer but no others I absolutely can't stand. I loved them as a kid, though.

This is sort of the opposite of the thread title I guess.

I used to work at a pizza joint in Athens where my Scoobie-Snack of choice was to roll feta up in a slice of bacon.

I'd be so dead if I still cooked for a living.

I'll eat anything except black licorice, liver, lutefisk, pickles, and male genitalia.
