The Rangers have at least 2 SPs worth some amount of confidence, if only judged by the opening series avec les Red Sox.

I think the Spurs stopped really caring about the regular season sometime before March Madness. That one game where they barely even showed up against the Nuggets? Holy cow...

There is no question about it. Sports turn me into an irrational tantrum-throwing three-year-old. That being said, Duncan's still on his last legs (or heels), the Spurs have won their last title, and the Rangers are going 2-160 this season.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

lol, while we are taking shots at FT's teams - I can't wait to see the TO experiment blow up in the Cowboy's faces the same way it did in Philly - I just hope it doesn't take as long this time;)~

Sorry FT, think you're a great guy - just hate your Cowboys :)

I have the misfortune of being a fan of two of the most universally despised teams around: the Dallas Cowboys and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. I'm used to people rooting for their demise. I'm delusional enough to think the TO experiment will work...at least this season. The NFC is so watered-down, that could be just enough to put them in the Super Bowl. Then again, they could go 8-8 and miss the playoffs.

One thing IS for certain about this coming football season: ND is going to KICK ASS!!! Brady Quinn for Heisman!

Everyone talking NBA in this thread needs to shut the fuck up.

As a Hawks fan I find your talk of how bad your team is offensive.

Lost 16 of our last 20. Started season 2-16.

By far the worst NBA franchise in the last 10 years.

This is certain to draw the ire of KPH, but after watching last night's Spurs-Mavs game, I've come to the realization that Tim Duncan is washed up. Yeah, yeah...plantar fascitis, blah blah blah. Dude has no fire left in his belly. It seems like years since I've seen him hit the once automatic bank shot from the wing. He NEVER dunks anymore. EVER. He's getting outrebounded by guys a foot shorter.

I mean, he was brilliant in his prime, brought them three titles, but his time has passed. And that makes me sad.

I've had plantar fascitis for a couple of years and it is the most annoying fucking thing in the world (i play basketball at a pretty competitive level. Probably about the level of div 2 college in the US [we dont have college sports here]).

Anyway...its so fucking annoying because the pain is just bearable, its just this little niggling thing that stops you doing things 100% well and prevents explosive movements. Its so much harder to jump, dunk, shoot, even shoot free throws. The pain is this tiny little thing that isnt sharp nor dull; that kinda pain that is really deep and you cant put your finger on an exact location in the foot. And even if you can over come the pain, when you try to jump you just never get as high as you used to be able to. I've had major knee and back injuries as well, but nothing is annoying as plantar fascitis. The niggling pain that you cant explain that NEVER HEALS. The most annoying part is that it rarely prevents you from playing, but you can rarely have a game where you feel great, and taking time off does little to fix the problem. In basketball, i get most frustrated when im stopped by something i cant control rather than being stopped by a great defender.

I guess i can kinda feel for the Big Fundamental. SUre i don't like him as a ball player that much, but i know the kind of frustration he's going through. It really sucks.

Will he be the best as a Timberwolf?

A very depressing read....if you are a fan of the Wolves, you are ultimately a fan of KG--everything else is just details. When he eventually leaves, either through a trade or retirement, the team might as well fold (only a slight exaggeration).

yeah it'd be nice to see someone stay with a team for their entire career but it's very doubtful it'll happen in this day and age and if the team is not going to pay for free agents or whatever. duncan and kg are the exceptions here so far though.
