I think the incumbent rule held true. Most people thought Osborne should have stayed in Congress if he wanted to hold an elected office. Nebraska is far too conservative for congressional dissatisfaction to have an impact.
Now the big race is Pete Ricketts, former Ameritrade exec who spent 5 million to win the GOP Senate nod against Ben Nelson, the most conservative Democratic Senator with the highest approval rating currently on Capitol Hill.
Yeah I heard that Ricketts race compared to Hagel v. Nelson, but that Ricketts doesn't have Vietnam service to highlight.
Should be interesting. I like Ben Nelson, btw.
