you're the only person i know to have ever said that. i first heard it by sam cooke and think that he absolutely nails it. then again, it's also my favorite song.
Otis is by far my favorite singer, so i'm a bit biased.
Otis' version is sick, but Sam was on some black Bob Dylan shit when he came up with this'n. I used to love this song, but it was the hold music for a campaign I worked that was particularly gar, so it is somewhat tainted in my mind, but awesome nonetheless.
