In Dallas, we only assassinate white leaders.

When did this become a racial issue? Maybe he's just a bad writer?

uh

Not to take a shot, but you might wanna consider getting more of your sports info from people who aren't caucasian brothers. Not necessarily from Scoop, but flip it around a little bit brother. Variety is the spice etc.

I don't read Bill SImmons for sports info. I read Bill SImmons because he's entertaining. Calling Bill Simmons a "caucasian brother" is easily one of the most offcenter comments i've heard about him. Does he write "black", does he throw around street slang? He writes articles on the merits of the first seasons of 90210 vs. The OC for gods sake.

cool. i feel ya. Simmons is good entertainment

The Idaho comment is also a little strange. I live in Idaho because I currently and work at Mountain Home Air Force Base. I'm an Air Force brat. My mom was an aircraft mechanic and my dad works civil service for the DOD. You may not be aware but a large portion of the USAF is made up of minorities. I've grown up with a very diverse group of people because of the Air Force. To insinuate that i don't like Scoop Jackson's writing because he's black or it comes from a black perspective is quite insulting. You assume/hint because i live in Idaho that i'm close minded and/or a racist. Or that i don't have interaction with black people on a regular basis. How about everyday at work and on my block.

His writing has been appealing so far at ESPN. Maybe his skills will shine through in future articles but i won't like or dislike them based on his race

Hey, my bad Dog. My most honest apologies. We are probably more on the level than I thought........ I kinda just played the assumption game on this one. And, uh you know that deal........

Sidenote: I was called a "wigger" by guys like you for years when i was growing up because i wasn't into rock and metal growing up. I loved hip-hop and later in middle school indie rock because of my sister (sibling). I got taunted by white meathead southerns whenever i had my PE or Cypress Hill shirt so i've become accustomed to being misunderstood. However, this is first time it's come from someone saying i have a bias because of his race.

Hey sorry you got called "wigger" dude, but I got called "Nigger Lover" b/c I dared to rock SKY Jordans and Toe Cap Adidas with my Testament and Exodus t-shirts back in the day. We're talking about groups like P.A.N. and the A.A.A. that OPERATED, Bubba;

Check yourself fool. Dudes like "The Guy With the Pompadour" blazed the trail so Junior Super Friends like you could breathe.....

White Meathead Southerners? C'mon dude. All the BB bullshit that I throw out aside, I challenge you to PM anybody that actually knows me, and see if you think its justified. Seriously. Don't Fuck with me or the southern boys on that issue.

You know what, i take it back Scoop is on to something. He offers a fresh street smart perspective on sports that i've been missing for years. Thanks Yail.

You are most certainly welcome. Don't slip.

i thought that it was a little odd that, as outspoken as you've been about people presuming things about the south and southerners without any real basis for it, you got on him pretty fast about not having much perspective because he lives in idaho.

i feel like, whenever someone makes an unfounded generalization about the south, you're usually the first to take issue with it. maybe i'm thinking of someone else.
